There is a big difference between protecting your peace and protecting your identity.
Sometimes a relationship is genuinely draining, repetitive, or harmful.
And sometimes a person is simply showing you something your ego does not want to see.
That is where discernment matters.
Because if every uncomfortable relationship gets labeled misaligned, low vibe, toxic, or not for me, we can accidentally build a spiritual life where nothing is allowed to challenge us.
That may feel peaceful.
But it may also keep us in the shallow end of the pool.
The ego loves comfort.
It loves people who agree with us.
People who validate our story.
People who reassure us that we are right.
People who never ask the uncomfortable question.
That is spiritual junk food.
It feels good immediately, but it may not nourish growth.
Sometimes the Not-Self Ego really wants -
the comfort combo
validation fries
the no-triggers
