We usually think about the Father Wound as something personal.
We think about our relationship with our biological father — his absence, his control, his criticism, his emotional unavailability, or perhaps the pressure to become what he expected us to become.
But the Father Wound does not remain confined to the family.
Our earliest experiences with authority become part of the template through which we later relate to teachers, employers, institutions, governments, experts, religions, partners, and anyone else who occupies a position of power.
And when we look at what is happening collectively right now, I believe we are watching that relationship to authority undergo a profound change.
Human civilization has historically been organized through hierarchical structures. Those structures are not inherently corrupt. A hierarchy can serve a real purpose when responsibility moves with power.

 Why Maslow’s Hierarchy Is Reversing
For generations, Maslow’s hierarchy has described human development as a pyramid.
At the bottom are the basic needs: food, shelter, safety and security. Above that come belonging, relationship, recognition and achievement. Only after those foundations are secured does the individual supposedly arrive at self-actualization.
That structure made sense within the world of the Cross of Planning.
The old world was built from the outside in.
First, secure your survival.
Then find your place within the group.
Then establish a role, an identity and a measure of success.
Only after all of that could you begin asking who you truly are.
But as we move toward 2027 and the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix, that sequence begins to reverse.
